Vive con Esperanza allocates Over 50 Million Dollars in Strategic Grants to National Entities to Promote Education for Sustainable Development and Disaster Risk Management in the Americas
Bogota, February 17, 2025 – The 24/25 Continental Rally, one of the most significant inter-American initiatives in the fields of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Disaster Risk Management (DRM), has announced the allocation of more than 50 million dollars in strategic grants to 16 national entities participating this year. These grants are aimed at strengthening local efforts to combat climate change, enhance community resilience, and manage disasters, promoting a comprehensive and inclusive approach across the region.
National entities will receive allocations ranging from USD 1 million to USD 3.5 million, depending on territorial population and identified needs. In addition, local entities will have the opportunity to access additional resources through investment counterparts that will enhance the visibility of national projects both locally and internationally.
The event will culminate in a youth and children’s art exhibition at the Organization of American States (OAS) headquarters in Washington D.C., scheduled for the last week of October 2025. The exhibition will serve as a key platform to showcase the initiatives and achievements of participants, highlighting the creativity and commitment of young people to sustainability and risk management.
Through this effort, Rally Continental continues to establish itself as a leader in implementing sustainable solutions through youth creativity, inviting more national and local entities to join this transformative movement for a more resilient and sustainable future in the Americas.
